Feeds

The Daily Scroll uses multiple feeds to help readers discover stories. Recommendations change over time to improve relevance and reduce spam.

For You Feed

The For You feed is personalized using interests, follows, reading history, engagement, freshness, quality signals, and local preferences. The exact ranking system is intentionally not public.

Local Feed

The Local feed shows stories relevant to the reader's selected location. Users control their local region in settings.

Global Feed

The Global feed highlights major stories from around the world and important breaking news.

Topics

Stories use standardized topics selected from platform categories to improve recommendations, discovery, and organization.

Following Users And Journalists

Following increases the chance of seeing future content from that account, but it does not guarantee every post appears.

User Profiles

Profiles display public stories, reposts, badges, level, achievements, and other public activity chosen by the user.

Becoming A Journalist

Users may apply to become journalists. Applications are reviewed by staff. Approval is based on account standing, policy compliance, and overall quality.

Journalist Studio

Approved journalists can write, schedule, edit, publish, save drafts, upload media, add sources, and manage stories from the studio.

Writing And Publishing Stories

Stories can include headlines, summaries, images, video, rich formatting, sources, scheduling, comment controls, and sensitive-content settings.

Story Statuses

Draft, Scheduled, Published, Hidden, Under Review, and Archived help explain a story's current state.

Story Verification Labels

Labels such as Verified, Breaking, Corrected, or Unverified provide additional context about editorial review.

Comments And Discussions

Readers can like, dislike, reply, report, pin, and participate in threaded conversations. Journalists can moderate comments on their own stories.

Reposts

Users may repost stories to help others discover them. Reposts always credit the original journalist and never transfer ownership.

Two Ways To Earn

The Daily Scroll is designed with two creator paths. Approved journalists may earn from eligible original reporting. Eligible community members may also earn by helping quality stories reach new readers through reposts and discovery. These are separate programs with separate qualification requirements.

Journalist Monetization

Eligible journalists may qualify for earnings based on qualified readership, engagement, originality, advertiser suitability, and policy compliance. Invalid traffic, copyright violations, or policy violations may reduce or remove eligibility.

Reposter Monetization

Eligible users may qualify for creator rewards when their reposts help new readers discover stories. Simply reposting content does not guarantee earnings; only qualified activity may count.

Eligibility Requirements

Requirements may include verified accounts, good standing, minimum activity, and compliance with platform rules. Requirements may change as the platform evolves.

Estimated Earnings

Creator dashboards may display estimated earnings before final monthly review. Estimates may increase or decrease after fraud detection, advertiser adjustments, or policy review.

Retroactive Earnings

When a creator first becomes eligible, The Daily Scroll may credit certain recent qualified activity according to the current platform rules.

Monthly Earnings Cycle

Qualified activity is reviewed throughout the month. Final statements are generated after reconciliation and fraud review.

Payouts

Eligible creators may complete identity and payout verification through supported payment providers before withdrawals become available.

XP, Levels And Badges

XP rewards participation while monetization rewards qualified creator activity. Levels, XP, and badges have no cash value and are separate from earnings.

Moderation And Safety
